The Eventide Foundation gives campus employees the opportunity for tuition assistance intended for career development and the pursuit of a higher education. Whether it is a little or a lot, the Eventide Foundation strives to do what they can to support the dreams of dedicated team members.
In November, it was announced that two Eventide LPNs, Marilyn Velasquez and Angela Aldana, were all granted tuition assistance to take a course needed for the RN program. Additionally, Eventide CNA, Arielle Pedersen, received tuition assistance to become a Certified Medication Aide. The Eventide Foundation chose to fund these efforts to further support their desires to continue education and secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers.
“Furthering my education gives me the opportunity to broaden my patient care and enhance my skills. I consider it a true privilege to be able to care for people,” said Velasquez. The common theme among the applications received was the residents – the reason they strive to be more knowledgeable healthcare professionals. The foundation is confident that investing in each of these ladies will give an exceptional return on that investment for the entire Eventide Community. We look forward to seeing them advance their careers for the benefit of the elders in our community.
A special thank you to the current Eventide Foundation Board of Directors for this added benefit to employees on the Eventide Campus. These Board Members include Jim Lohman, Norma Petersen, Tonya Eller, Scott Brus, and Larry Boeck. We appreciate the support of the Tuition Assistance Program and the new opportunities this may bring our campus.
